Our Health education program empowers individuals to maintain and promote wellness in an evolving social context through the development of healthful knowledge, attitudes, and skills.
Our program addresses a continuum from wellness promotion to risk reduction to the prevention and management of health issues. Within the context of a comprehensive health education program, we address concerns such as family life, substance abuse prevention, and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections.
Our grade seven and eighth program is split into two ten-week sessions. One ten-week session takes place in grade seven and the second session is in grade eight.
Sixth graders receive their health instruction in physical education class.
